Always season a new wood humidor before adding cigars. Boveda 84% pouch completely humidifies the cellular structure of the wood inside a humidor, which prevents the interior from robbing moisture from your cigars.
After seasoning with Boveda 84%, replace with your preferred Boveda RH packets to maintain ideal humidity for months in your humidor.

Description
Using Boveda seasoning pouch humidification pouches is as easy.
1. Remove Boveda from its resealable bag (make sure to reseal the bag afterward). If your Boveda is overwrapped, remove the clear overwrap before using. (DO NOT OPENÂ the brown packet itself.)
2. Place the unwrapped seasoning packets inside the EMPTY wood humidor. (Do not remove any wood shelves and trays.
3. Close the lid and DO NOT OPEN THE HUMIDOR FOR 14 DAYS—no matter what the hygrometer readings are.
4. After 14 days, open the humidor, remove the seasoning packets, and discard them—they aren’t reusable.
5. Move cigars back into your seasoned humidor.
6. Add in your preferred Boveda RH packets. Expect to replace this first set of Boveda a bit sooner than you will subsequent packs, which will last three (3) months.
